About the Job

Do you want to work with information security and data protection in an administration with operations throughout Gothenburg?

We at the South West Social Administration work with important community-building activities within social services, public health, safety, crisis support, housing, homelessness, and HVB (residential care for youth). We have established a good structure for information security and data protection work and need to continue both maintaining and developing these areas. Organizationally, you belong to the Property and Security unit and have close contact with the unit manager, department manager, IT development lead, and security development lead. You will also serve as the coordinating data protection contact. You will be part of the Social Administration's data protection network and the City of Gothenburg's network for information security and data protection. In the role of Development Lead for Information Security and Data Protection, you will have a varied role at both strategic and operational levels.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and developing information security work within the administration.
  • Maintaining and developing data protection work within the administration.
  • Participating in the implementation of new IT support and systems from a data protection and information security perspective.
  • Supporting operations in conducting impact assessments, continuity management, risk assessments, controls, and incident handling.
  • Reviewing and creating governing and supporting documents within information security and data protection.
  • Training and informing about information security and data protection within the administration.
  • Coordinating the administration's data protection contacts.
  • Keeping up to date within the fields of information security and data protection.
  • Collaborating with other social administrations in the City of Gothenburg.

You will be located at Zirkongatan in an activity-based office with the possibility of working from other locations when the operations allow. About You

The basic requirement is that you have a bachelor's degree or a relevant 2-year vocational higher education (YH) and previous work experience within information security and data protection. We consider it meritorious if you have worked in a politically governed organization.

You have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the framework of your assignment without being dependent on others. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive the work forward.

You convey information and ideas clearly, both orally and in writing. You ensure that your message gets through. You adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation. Since many find the area complex, you need to have good knowledge of how individuals absorb knowledge to ensure your message gets through. This presupposes that you have a very good ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both in speech and in writing.

You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the common mission and work to make it as good as possible. You contribute with a positive attitude and engagement to the team.

You can effectively identify and analyze the core of a problem and propose possible solutions. You have the ability to see connections and draw logical conclusions based on limited and/or complex information.

You have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the framework of your assignment without being dependent on others. You are accustomed to independently planning, driving, and completing processes.

The position will be filled if necessary decisions are made.

Other Information

Interviews will be conducted during week 35.

The intended salary range for the position is: 45,000–55,000 SEK. The salary is based on a combined assessment of your education, experience, and competencies you bring into the role.
