About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Wiring Harness & Electrical Design.

As part of a technical development team in Gothenburg, you will work on developing and ensuring technical solutions for electrical systems, cable routing, and component installation in advanced vehicle projects.

In this role, you are responsible for creating and further developing design solutions for cable systems and electrical installations. You will work closely with project teams, system engineers, and other development functions to ensure that solutions meet technical requirements, installation prerequisites, and product goals.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical interest, who is meticulous in their work and enjoys taking responsibility for complex design issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design solutions for wiring harnesses and electrical installations.
• Responsible for component installation and cable routing in vehicle platforms.
• Create and further develop layout solutions in CATIA V5.
• Work with 2D design of electrical systems and cable routing.
• Document and update technical solutions in relevant systems.
• Analyze existing solutions and propose improvements for new and existing products.
• Collaborate closely with project teams and technical specialists to find optimal solutions.
• Participate in development work where minor adjustments and improvements need to be analyzed and implemented.
• Take technical leadership in various activities and drive issues forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Technical Physics, or equivalent.
• Several years of relevant experience in electrical design, cable systems, or vehicle development.
• Very good experience with Saber for 2D wiring design is required.
• Good experience with CATIA V5, specifically within:
  • Wiring harness routing
  • Electrical installations
  • Packaging of cables and components
• Experience with similar routing work for other media such as:
  • Pneumatic tubes
  • Brake hoses
  • Other vehicle installations
• Experience with vehicle industry development processes is a plus.
• Experience with systems such as KOLA is a plus.
• Very good command of English, both spoken and written.
