About Us

Clinical Genetics and Genomics at Sahlgrenska University Hospital has approximately 130 employees, including doctors, hospital geneticists, biomedical analysts, and bioinformaticians. The Center for Medical Genomics, part of this operation, performs genetic diagnostics for acquired and hereditary cancer, prenatal diagnostics, and rare diseases. It is characterized by change management and the development of new methods and knowledge. Large-scale sequencing is becoming an increasingly dominant technique for precision diagnostics, generating large and complex datasets.

What We Offer You

We offer you an exciting and developmental role at the intersection of IT, bioinformatics, business development, and data management in a rapidly evolving technical environment.

Responsibilities

You will work cross-functionally to ensure a clear data strategy and quality assurance. A major focus will be on process development, where you will act as a bridge between technical experts/IT and genetic analysts, researchers, and engineers. With previous experience as a bioinformatician, there is also an opportunity to work with programming to develop and implement bioinformatics pipelines.

You will work both strategically and practically with various development projects and IT-related business changes.

About You

We are looking for you with a university or college degree as a civil engineer and/or a background in systems science, data and information technology, or informatics, preferably with experience in healthcare/diagnostics and project management. You are a good communicator who can lead and collaborate with different teams/functions to find solutions. You express yourself well orally and in writing, in both Swedish and English. You have a genuine interest in process and business development and have worked with such assignments previously in private or public operations.
