About the role:

Our client develops advanced IoT-based parking technology used by parking companies, property owners, and retail actors across Sweden. Through cameras, edge technology, and AI, vehicle movements are analyzed in real-time, creating valuable insights for everything from retail and property management to EV charging and logistics. The company is now facing its next big step – rebuilding the entire platform from the ground up with AI as a central part of the development work.

As a Fullstack Developer, you will become part of a small, experienced, and high-performing development team building an edge-first and data-driven platform for parking, mobility, and analytics. You will join at a stage where the focus is on new development rather than maintenance, offering significant opportunities to influence technical choices, architecture, and working methods. AI is a natural part of the development process and is actively used to accelerate development, create smarter workflows, and enable rapid innovation. Here we are looking for you who see AI as a natural tool in your daily work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and further develop TypeScript-based APIs and backend services.
• Design domain models, databases, and versioned API and event contracts.
• Build robust integration flows between edge, cloud, and external systems.
• Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code.
• Establish practices for testing, CI/CD, observability, and security.
• Handle authentication, permissions, and multi-tenant related issues.
• Contribute to React applications and support the development of product-centric interfaces.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 5 years of experience in a developer role.
• Has strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js in production systems.
• Has experience designing and building APIs and backend services.
• Has a good understanding of PostgreSQL, data modeling, and database integrity.
• Has experience with infrastructure-as-code, such as Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Has experience with Docker, CI/CD, and modern deployment flows.
• Understands distributed and asynchronous systems, including retries, idempotency, error handling, and observability.
• Has experience with AI-driven development work and modern AI tools such as Claude, Codex, or similar.
• Speaks and writes fluent Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work.

It is an advantage if you have any of the following:

• A post-secondary education in system development, computer science, or a related field.
• Google Cloud Platform.
• Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Firestore/Firebase, or IAM in GCP.
• Fastify.
• OpenAPI, JSON Schema, or other schema-driven development.
• Event-driven architecture and message-based systems.
• IoT, edge computing, or systems with periodically unstable connectivity.
• Python, FastAPI, or Django.
• Linux-based field units.
• NVIDIA Jetson/Orin, JetPack, or ARM64.
• RTSP, ONVIF, GStreamer, OpenCV, CUDA, TensorRT, or computer vision.
• Real-time systems, telemetry, device management, or fleet management.
• Data platforms and analytical data warehouses.
• Migration from legacy platforms with adapters and parallel operation.
• SaaS platforms, internal tools, or data-driven products.

About the employment:

This is a direct recruitment, meaning that Friday handles and is responsible for the recruitment process, but you will be employed directly by the client company.
