Do you want to work in an environment where technical complexity, quality, and long-term sustainability are in focus? At Combitech, we are now looking for a DevOps Engineer who wants to develop and refine advanced system platforms together with experienced teams. Here, you will work closely with both development and operations in assignments where structure, robustness, and collaboration are crucial.
What we offer
At Combitech, we invest in our employees – they are the core, the brain, and the heart of our business. We invest in your competence development, create conditions for a balance between work and private life, and offer attractive benefits.
We offer among other things wellness allowance, flexible working hours, reduced working hours (ATK), as well as discounts on e.g., grocery boxes, cinema tickets, and holiday resorts.
Here we develop together! Some examples are:
- Tech Evenings – recurring AfterWorks where we explore technology and code together.
- Book Club – where we read and discuss inspiring literature.
- Leadership Network – for development within leadership.
- Course Week – twice a year with the opportunity for education in selectable subjects.
- Individual Development Plan – 40 hours per year allocated for your own development.
With us, you get a workplace where you can feel a sense of belonging and where we actively work to keep the team together, regardless of the assignment. We are happy to meet at the office on Lindholmen for shared lunches and exchange.
As a consultant with us, you will work with companies and products at the technological forefront. You get a dynamic environment where you have the opportunity to develop within your area of interest. A major advantage of our team operations is that you are not limited to a specific team, technical area, or domain, but have the opportunity to develop and switch over time.
What the role entails
We at Combitech Critical Systems are now expanding our commitments together with our customers in Gothenburg. As part of this initiative, we are building strong, cohesive teams that work close to the business and take joint responsibility for deliveries, planning, and problem-solving.
In the role of DevOps Engineer, you work with the further development and refinement of a technically advanced platform. You collaborate closely with development teams to ensure efficient and stable deliveries in an environment with high demands on quality and traceability. The work involves developing and improving CI/CD flows and pipelines, automating build, test, and deployment processes, and working in Linux-based environments with a focus on stable operations and long-term solutions. You also work in systems with multiple integrations and dependencies, where you contribute to ensuring high quality, good traceability, and effective delivery capability over time.
The work takes place largely on-site at the customer, which is a prerequisite in this type of safety-critical environment. The team is based in Gothenburg, and business travel may occur.
What we are looking for
We are looking for you who have at least five years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or within CI/CD, and who feel confident in your role while wanting to continue developing in a technically advanced environment. You are accustomed to working in Linux-based systems and have a good understanding of how stable and efficient deliveries are built over time.
You have experience with scripting, where Bash forms an important foundation in many existing solutions, and you have also worked with Python to further develop and modernize functionality over time.
You have worked with tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, or similar, and are accustomed to working in environments with multiple integrations and dependencies. You also feel confident working in virtual environments, for example with tools like VirtualBox or virt-manager.
Especially Meritorious
It is especially meritorious if you have experience from operations with high technical complexity, for example within telecom, defense, or other safety-critical areas. If you have also worked in product development environments where several systems and functions interact and where high demands are placed on quality, documentation, and traceability, we see this as a great advantage. We also value that you are accustomed to working close to development, testing, and operations in cross-functional teams and that you have experience with ways of working that support stable and long-term deliveries. We would also like to see that you have an academic degree in data, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent, as well as experience with CI/CD/DevOps tools, test automation, and toolchains for integration and automation.
Since the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, it is required that you undergo and pass a security clearance with register check.
Selection will take place after the summer. We look forward to your application!
Come & make a difference
We believe that you do a better job if you can focus on the right things, therefore we make it easy to combine work with everyday life. We invest in our employees; they are the core, the brain, and the heart of our business. Furthermore, we stand on a solid foundation of high technology, research, and employment security with the defense and security company Saab as owner.
