Do you want to work with technology that literally lifts and handles heavy loads around the world? Now you have the chance to take the step into an exciting role as an Automation Engineer at MacGregor in Örnsköldsvik. Here, you will work with advanced electrical systems in large technical products and develop in an international environment with a high technical level.

YOUR ROLE

As an Automation Engineer at MacGregor, you will become part of a team of approximately 50 colleagues who together develop the cranes of the future. You will work on developing and further developing modular electrical systems used in various types of cranes – solutions that must function in demanding environments worldwide.

In this role, you will:

• Work with electrical design based on current standards and regulations

• Create electrical schematics and designs in 3D CAD tools

• Develop and maintain modular electrical systems

• Participate in testing and verification of systems (FAT/SAT)

In addition, you will work closely with production, procurement, R&D, and after-sales, as well as maintain contact with suppliers and partners. You will manage documentation in PLM systems, create bills of materials, and help ensure that solutions meet both technical requirements and customer needs.

The role gives you a broad understanding of the entire product lifecycle – from design to finished solution. You will have the opportunity to gradually take on more responsibility and eventually participate in commissioning and troubleshooting in the field.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You are at the beginning of your career and want to develop within electrical design and automation. Perhaps you have recently graduated – or have a few years of experience.

We believe you have a university degree in electrical engineering or similar, and it is an asset if you have a few years of relevant experience. You have basic knowledge of CAD and electrical design and feel comfortable working structured with technical documentation. You speak and write Swedish and English fluently.

As a person, you are curious and eager to develop, you take responsibility for your tasks, and have a solution-oriented approach. You enjoy collaborating with others and contribute with a positive and engaged attitude.
