At The Scouts, we are shaped by adventure. The adventures that take place out in nature and those that happen within us as we discover, challenge, and find courage together. For over a hundred years, The Scouts have ensured that children and adults from all parts of society get to experience adventure. Today, The Scouts provide life-changing experiences for over 81,000 children and adults. We are present from north to south, in 245 of the country's municipalities.
The Scouts are now looking for a Service Administrator for our wonderful office in Örnsberg, Stockholm. This role is perfect for someone at the beginning of their career who has or has had personal involvement with The Scouts.
About the role
As a Service Administrator, you are often the first person our visitors meet – an important role where your service mindset and social skills take center stage. You contribute to creating a welcoming and pleasant environment at our office in Örnsberg, together with colleagues who support you in your role. You will work closely with a more senior Service Coordinator who will introduce you to the tasks and provide support in your development.
Approximately 70 employees from both The Scouts and The Scouts' Folk High School work here, alongside the school's students and volunteers. It is a lively workplace with many points of contact – perfect for you if you thrive in a social environment and want to be where things happen.
In this role, you will, among other things:
- Receive visitors at the reception and welcome them to The Scouts
- Answer incoming calls and emails, and provide service to colleagues, members, and the public
- Help keep the office pleasant and well-functioning on a daily basis
- Support with administrative tasks and practical matters that facilitate daily life
- Assist with travel bookings and contact with travel agencies
- Handle mail and packages in the local area
About you
To thrive and succeed in this role, we look for someone who:
- Has a high school diploma or equivalent
- Has some work experience, preferably in service, administration, or similar
- Has good knowledge of the Office package
- Speaks and writes Swedish fluently
- Has personal involvement with The Scouts (e.g., as a leader, member of a board, or similar)
- Wants and is able to work full-time on-site at the office in Örnsberg
It is an advantage if you also have:
- Experience working with a case management system
- English skills in speech and writing
- Engagement in another non-profit organization
We believe you are a curious, solution-oriented person who enjoys learning new things. You thrive in a role where you get to help others and have many points of contact, and you are willing to take initiative in daily life to make things run smoothly. You find it easy to build good relationships and treat people in a friendly and professional manner.
This role is perfect for someone at the beginning of their career with some years of experience who wants to continue developing in a service-oriented role. You have personal involvement with The Scouts and are curious about what it is like to work with service and administration in an organization you already have a relationship with.
