We are seeking an engaged Urban Planner

We are now looking for an engaged and solution-oriented urban planner for a one-year temporary position. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the breadth of tasks offered by a smaller municipality. Currently, we are working on strategic projects including an architecture strategy, several municipal development projects in outdoor recreation, education, and care, as well as detailed plans for housing and operations.

Job Responsibilities

As part of our planning group, you will handle varied tasks throughout the entire municipal planning process, ranging from strategic planning to detailed planning. You will primarily work on detailed plans, preparing and presenting your assignments to the political bodies. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in land development, GIS, environment, building permits, streets, and parks, as well as interact with external actors such as developers, consultants, property owners, and authorities.

The planning operations are part of the Planning and Development Unit within the Municipal Board Administration, working on behalf of the municipal council and municipal board. The unit is responsible for comprehensive planning, detailed planning, development, and the municipality's maps and geodata operations. The position offers the possibility of remote work and access to a satellite office in Gårda, Gothenburg.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning deemed relevant by the employer.
• Well-versed in current planning and building legislation.

Merits:

• Class B driver's license.
• Work experience in urban or detailed planning.
• Master's degree in physical planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or equivalent.

You should be able to switch easily between different tasks, plan and prioritize efficiently, and thrive in a flexible role. You are communicative, creative, and have a good ability to balance different interests. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
Working hours: Daytime.
