What if you could also join forces with other actors, such as schools, associations, youth centers, and social services, to put the puzzle together and create more violence prevention initiatives that make a difference in young people's lives? This is possible. As a field worker in Järfälla Municipality, this is your job.
To our Field Team, consisting of nine field workers and one team leader, we are now looking for an engaged and reliable colleague. You are convinced that area-based work can make an impact, that change work can truly prevent violence and promote good growing-up conditions for young people. In Järfälla, you have the opportunity to be part of a municipality that invests heavily in violence prevention work. The position is located at the Prevention Unit, organized within the social administration's outpatient care, where collaboration opportunities are open and accessible. Field operations play a key role in this work. The Prevention Unit also includes parenting support, family counseling, early support (SSPF), school social work teams, and municipal coordination of violence prevention, honor-related violence and oppression, domestic violence, and ANDTS issues (Alcohol, Drugs, Tobacco, Doping, Gambling).

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a field worker, you work proactively in arenas where the municipality's young people are found. You keep up with youth trends and the environments young people inhabit. You also work in broad collaboration with other actors.
Concretely, as a field worker, you will:
- Work proactively to get to know the municipality's young people, gaining knowledge of their trends and arenas.
- Be a reliable adult, providing support to young people who need it and referring them to other interventions if necessary.
- Together with young people themselves, their families, partners, and the local association life, contribute to creating conditions for good growing-up environments.
- Work with and inform about preventive work regarding ANDTS issues (Alcohol, Drugs, Tobacco, Doping, Gambling).
- Play a key role in strategically raising the gaze together with other actors to find forms for violence prevention work in the field.
- Work in schools and classrooms with various forms of violence prevention programs.
Work in synergy with other parts of the Prevention Unit's mandate. The work is scheduled for both day and evening hours, weekdays and weekends, based on an eight-week roster. You work together with colleagues, planning and prioritizing the implementation of the work jointly.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Social work education or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Experience working with children and young people.
- Good knowledge of social preventive work, violence and drug prevention, working to strengthen children and young people's influence and rights, youth culture, and the social services' mandate and responsibility.
- Driver's license.
It is an asset if you have experience working as a field worker or other types of proactive work with children and young people, or experience within social services. It is also an asset if you have experience working with young people in socioeconomically vulnerable areas. We also appreciate knowledge of young people's digital habits online. Language skills beyond Swedish and English are also considered an asset.
To succeed in this role, you need excellent collaboration skills, the ability to make contact with young people in various environments, good communication skills, and a solution-focused mindset, as well as the ability to find ways forward based on various daily challenges. You need to feel secure in the role of a field worker and have the courage to act in the best interest of children and young people. You take great personal responsibility and contribute with engagement, knowledge, and a forward-looking attitude.
