About the workplace

At the turn of the year, we launched our new unit Adults and Disabilities. This unit combines service delivery and administrative authority. It covers housing support and employment activities, as well as case handling within social psychiatry, substance abuse and addiction, LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), domestic violence, and support for individuals wishing to leave a criminal lifestyle.

Do you want to work with flexible social support?

We are currently developing work methods with a focus on flexibility, accessibility, and individual adaptation. This means we need to be able to adapt quickly to changing needs and provide the right support at the right time.

In this newly established role, you will work flexibly, with tasks alternating between housing support and employment activities – depending on what best meets the individual's needs and the unit's priorities.

Job responsibilities

As a colleague within flexible social support, you will work closely with individuals with varying needs for support in their daily lives. Your work may involve assignments in both housing support and employment activities, and you must be prepared to switch between these tasks.

In the role of a housing support worker, you support individuals in their home environment with, for example:

  • Structure in daily life.
  • Practical chores.
  • Contact with authorities and healthcare providers.
  • Support in creating and maintaining functional routines.

Within employment activities, you work to:

  • Support participants in meaningful activities.
  • Motivate participation and development.
  • Create structure and context in daily life.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment.

Common to the assignment is that you:

  • Work in a relationship-building and motivating manner.
  • Adapt support based on the individual's daily form and needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other actors around the individual.
  • Contribute to creating continuity and security in the support provided.

The work is varied and requires that you can quickly switch between different tasks, target groups, and working methods.

  • A valid B-class driver's license is a requirement.
  • Good computer skills and experience with documentation are required.
  • Ability to work in homes with animals is a requirement.

Qualifications

  • Secondary education in health and social care, social work, or other relevant education (post-secondary education is an asset).
  • Experience working with adults within social psychiatry and disabilities.
  • Experience of working in a supportive and motivating manner.
  • Good communication skills in Swedish.
  • Good computer skills and experience with documentation.

It is an asset if you have:

  • Experience with housing support.
  • Experience working within employment activities/daily activities.
  • Experience with dual diagnosis and complex problems.
  • Experience with low-affective approach or motivational interviewing (MI).

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is self-reliant and can take own initiatives.
  • Has good collaboration skills.

Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis during the recruitment process.

Terms of employment

Permanent position.

Full-time.
