The Personal Documents Section is now seeking a Chip Technology Specialist to work with state e-identification and travel documents.

Job Description
In the role of Chip Technology Specialist, you will play a key role in managing and further developing the structure of the chip and its applications, which in turn carry private keys, digital certificates, etc. You will work to ensure that the chip complies with international standards and recommendations, make choices for the implementation of security mechanisms, cryptographic algorithms, etc.
Together with the team, you will also ensure that security is stable today and ready for tomorrow, while actively contributing to making the solutions robust, scalable, and secure.
Here, you will work close to the technology in an environment where your competence truly makes a difference.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with several cross-functional teams consisting of competent colleagues from various parts of the organization and the IT department, where you jointly make technical decisions and work towards set goals.
About the Assignment:
As a technology expert in chip technology, you will work to:
- ensure that the chips in Swedish travel and identity documents comply with national and international standards and recommendations
- analyze and implement new techniques based on new standards and recommendations
- engage in dialogue with suppliers of passports and ID cards regarding chip replacement and/or upgrades
- participate and collaborate with national and international partners in the development of standards in the field
- follow developments in the field of chip technology to ensure that issued Swedish travel documents and ID cards function correctly in an interoperable environment
- Maintenance and further development of Chip profiles
- Analysis and interpretation of ISO standards in the chip area
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- Relevant experience in the Smartcard area
- Programming skills (Java)
- Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English
- Swedish citizenship
It is an advantage if you also have:
- Experience with ISO standard work
- Deeper experience of ISO/IEC 7816-15
- Experience of NFC (Near Field Communication), Smartcards, or travel documents
- Experience of ISO/IEC 7816 and ISO/IEC 14443
- Ability to review and apply standards and specifications
- Identify needs and requirements for continued development in the field of Chip technology
- Thorough PKI understanding
