Our client is a well-known company in the sports and outdoor industry, renowned for its innovative solutions that help adventurers find their way and see in the dark. We are now looking for a Technical Project Manager who wants to take full responsibility for the next generation of equipment.

About the Role

As a Technical Project Manager, you will step into the heart of product development. Here, you will serve as the bridge between design concepts and finished products. You will join a humble and tightly-knit team of 3 other project managers and a Head of Product Development, where personal initiative and technical curiosity are highly valued. The role entails broad responsibility over the entire product lifecycle – from requirement specification to daily contact with global production. Since the company works with two-year development cycles, you will jump into several different projects at various stages from day one.

We offer you an exciting opportunity to work on innovative products for outdoor enthusiasts. This is a consultancy assignment initially lasting 6 months with the possibility of extension thereafter.

Responsibilities

The role involves leading product development projects, from initial specification to supplier contact and final testing. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects meet timelines and technical requirements.

• Lead product projects: Responsible for the development of everything from technical running vests to advanced lighting and measuring instruments.
• Technical specification: Write specifications and ensure that technical requirements are met throughout the process.
• Supplier management: Handle daily communication with factories in China (via Teams/email) to secure schedules and quality.

We are looking for someone who

• Has previous experience in product development and project management.
• Has broad technical understanding in areas such as mechanics, plastic molding, electronics, and textiles.
• Has fluent skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Is a humble team player with personal drive and curiosity.

It is an advantage if you have

• Education as a Civil Engineer, Master of Science in Engineering, or Design Engineer.
• A burning interest in outdoor life such as running, hiking, or orienteering.
