Our client is an established management consulting firm with specialist expertise in business control, profitability development, and decision support. They are now looking for a Data Engineer who wants to contribute to the development of their Data & AI initiative and support the continued growth of their Stockholm office.

About the Role

You will work at the intersection of technology and business, where your mission is to help clients transform complex data into decision support that creates real business value.

The role is not just about building data platforms and pipelines. You will also analyze business needs, define relevant KPIs, and develop data models that provide executive teams with better decision support.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Designing data models and modern data warehouses in Azure.
• Building solutions for analysis, reporting, and visualization in Power BI.
• Working with Python, SQL, and modern cloud platforms.
• Participating in workshops and client meetings to understand business needs.
• Developing KPIs, control models, and profitability analyses together with the client.
• Contributing to the development of AI-based solutions and how AI can create business value.
• Collaborating closely with management consultants and technical specialists in cross-functional project teams.

We believe you have:

• At least 3–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, BI Consultant, or within Data & Analytics.
• An academic degree in fields such as Industrial Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Technical Physics, or equivalent.
• Very strong skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Azure and modern data platforms.
• Experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and Data Warehousing.
• Experience with Power BI or similar analysis tools.
• A genuine interest in AI and how technology can be used to develop businesses.

Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure DevOps, or Databricks is a plus.
