About the Assignment

We are seeking an experienced Test Developer for a hands-on assignment within a backend team focused on establishing observability and quality assurance in daily operations. The role involves translating existing strategy into practice through implementation, adaptation, and integration into the team's workflow. You will actively contribute to a data-driven approach regarding performance, stability, and quality – building the team's long-term capabilities in these areas.

Responsibilities

• Implement and introduce observability in applications, including metrics, logs, and tracing
• Set up and manage dashboards, alerts, and key performance indicators in Grafana
• Plan and execute system-wide performance tests and develop test scripts
• Analyze production data and metrics from testing and operations to identify performance issues and bottlenecks
• Prepare reports and recommendations based on test results
• Contribute through code or configuration implementation in development contexts
• Establish sustainable workflows and strengthen the team's competence in observability, performance, and quality

Requirements

• At least 5 years of documented experience in performance testing in complex system environments
• Experience in planning and executing system-wide performance tests
• Experience in analyzing and interpreting performance data
• Experience working closely with development teams in agile environments
• Experience implementing performance tests and developing test scripts, e.g., in Locust
• Experience with the Locust tool for performance testing
• Experience with observability and monitoring, e.g., OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Prometheus
• Experience implementing metrics, logs, and tracing in applications
• Experience setting up dashboards, visualization, and alerts in Grafana
• Experience analyzing metrics to identify performance issues and bottlenecks
• Experience contributing through code or configuration implementation
• Experience preparing reports and recommendations based on test results

• Experience with observability-driven development
• Experience in analyzing production data
• Experience with workflows inspired by Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Experience with cloud-based environments, e.g., Kubernetes or container platforms
• Experience with business-critical or high-transaction systems
• Experience establishing performance strategy or frameworks
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience from regulated industries
• Experience implementing OpenTelemetry in C#/.NET
• Experience with DevSecOps workflows
