The Education Department is responsible for preschool, primary school, after-school centers, high school, adult education, and child and student health services. Approximately 1,100 employees work here, creating a safe and developmental school and childcare environment.

Västerport School is a grades 1-9 school with approximately 620 students and 80 employees. At Västerport School, students are met with modern, meaningful, and accessible teaching where the vision Every day we create meaning permeates the organization. The vision branches into two focus areas: relational teacher leadership and language development, which influence the development work. RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher at Västerport School, you will be part of a work team where you, together with colleagues, work to give our students the best possible conditions for good goal achievement. Teaching takes place in the subjects of mathematics, science (NO), and technology in grades 7-9.

You will plan and conduct teaching in an engaged and goal-oriented manner, as well as follow up, assess, and document students' knowledge development. Mentoring and pedagogical lunch are included in the assignment.

Västerport School uses digital tools in daily work, which requires good IT skills and experience with using digital tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed primary school teacher for grades 7-9 in the subjects of mathematics, science, and technology.

You are a secure and clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a learning environment where every student can develop optimally. As a teacher with us, you conduct work that puts the student's learning at the center.

You are an engaged teacher who can inspire and motivate students in their knowledge development. You have high expectations for the students and the ability to communicate these in a motivating spirit. You start from the students' perspective when you, together with other staff and management, organize, drive, and develop the school's work.

You find it easy to collaborate and have good communication – your students know what they can do, where they are going, and how to get there.
