The Education Department is responsible for preschool, primary school, after-school centers, upper secondary school, adult education, and child and student health. Here, around 1,100 employees work together to create a safe and developing school and childcare environment.
At Ystad Gymnasium, we work goal-oriented to develop our operations and offer teaching on most upper secondary programs. In area 5, we have 6 vocational programs: Construction and Civil Engineering (BA); Electricity and Energy (EE); Vehicle and Transport (FT); Hotel and Tourism (HT); Hairdressing and Styling (FR); and Restaurant and Food (RL).
We are now looking for our new colleague for the Vehicle and Transport Program!

RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a vocational teacher in Heavy Vehicles for the Vehicle and Transport Program (FT). As a vocational teacher at FT, you will teach students on our national program who are specializing in heavy vehicles.
You will be part of a work team (FT) where you, together with your colleagues, create a developing study environment for every student. Close collaboration with other teachers in the work team is seen as a natural part of the teaching assignment. In addition to teaching, your tasks include supervision and mentoring. We work from a coaching approach with a focus on the individual student's needs and prerequisites.
An important part of the teacher's assignment is to clearly communicate the goals of the subjects/education to students, guardians, and staff. Equally important is that you document each student's progress and, together with this, follow up and evaluate your work. In your work, you actively contribute to the school's development and take responsibility for your own personal competence development.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a vocational teacher. You have good industry experience with several years in the profession as a heavy vehicle mechanic/technician. It is desirable that you have experience of teaching. Teaching eligibility and a teaching license are meritorious.
As a vocational teacher at FT, you have knowledge of, as well as practical experience from, the industry. You have a great interest in both teaching and young people. You are passionate about your teaching assignment and find it fun to be a teacher. Through your teaching, your students achieve good study results. Contact with students and guardians is seen by you as a natural part of your daily work. You see the whole picture in the pedagogical assignment and you are good at motivating students to develop both academically and personally. You keep up with current research and dare to think new thoughts. Collaboration is a natural part of your work, and you are happy to receive feedback in order to improve your teaching.
As a person, you are development-oriented and have good communication skills as well as an ability to see the big picture. You enjoy working in an environment that places high demands on responsibility, flexibility, initiative, and social competence. You are a creative employee who can offer students a good learning environment and you have a good attitude. We attach great importance to personal qualities and previous teaching experience. You have solid industry knowledge.
