Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a Student and Career Counselor to work with various tracks within the introductory programs, such as the language introduction and the individual alternative, at Vipan Upper Secondary School. This is a temporary position covering parental leave for our current counselor. In this role, you will be an important part of a well-functioning work team and a Student Health Team (EHT) with a focus on preventive and promoting work. Your role is to guide our students into our school system, support them during their studies, and provide guidance for the time after their studies. There are several fellow counselors at the school who, together with you, form an important part of our students' education. Your work will form the basis for students' own well-founded choices regarding their future studies or employment. At our school, you will work closely with our educators and be a natural part of our students' daily school life. Within the introductory program (IM), we work with students towards lower secondary school goals and support our students individually towards set goals.

We are looking for you who

Have the ability to create and maintain good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Knowledge of different educational paths and a strong commitment to students are of great importance. Your work consists largely of inspiring and enthusing students with support and knowledge about the different paths a student can follow, with a focus on employment or further studies. For this position, you need post-secondary education in student and career counseling. You also need a flexible and solution-focused working style and the ability to work well with others. Experience of similar work is considered an asset.

About the Workplace

Just east of Lund city center lies Vipan Upper Secondary School, Lund's only municipal vocational school.

Vipan has approximately 1,200 students distributed across eight different vocational programs, Adapted Upper Secondary School, and Introductory Programs.

Vipan Upper Secondary School is in a dynamic phase of development. The school and the entire area around it are being renewed, with construction and renovation underway for an exciting future. Our students in the vocational programs have excellent future prospects after completing their education, and a positive pedagogical spirit of development pervades the school.
