About the role and your responsibilities

As a teacher of Swedish and English at Gymnasieskolan Vipan's vocational programs, you are responsible for planning, conducting, and following up on teaching in accordance with current curriculum documents. The teaching is adapted to students' various needs, prerequisites, and program orientations, with a focus on developing their language skills in different contexts.

Your duties include:

• Planning and conducting teaching in Swedish and English.
• Adapting teaching for students on vocational programs, with a connection to their future working life.
• Assessing and documenting students' knowledge development.
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
• Collaborating with colleagues, student health services, and work teams regarding student development.
• Serving as a mentor for a group of students.
• Participating in the school's development work.

We are looking for you

We are looking for a certified teacher with the qualification to teach Swedish and English at the upper secondary level. You possess strong pedagogical skills and can plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching based on current curriculum documents.

You are confident in your role as a teacher and have the ability to adapt teaching to students' various needs and prerequisites, particularly within the context of vocational programs. You work in a structured manner and create an inclusive and motivating learning environment where students are given good opportunities to develop.

We see that you are a clear leader in the classroom, with good communication skills and a commitment to student learning. You find it easy to collaborate with colleagues and actively contribute to the school's development work.

It is an advantage if you have experience teaching on vocational programs, working with students in need of special support, and using digital tools in teaching.

We are looking for two candidates; one permanent position and one temporary position for the academic year 2026-2027, both at 100%.

To work with children or students in preschool and school, you must, before an offer of employment, be able to present an acceptable extract from the police criminal record register (School or Preschool, e-service | Police Authority).

About the workplace

Gymnasieskolan Vipan is a vocational upper secondary school in Lund with over 1,200 students, offering several different vocational programs in a practically oriented learning environment. In addition to vocational programs, the school also offers adapted upper secondary education and introductory programs, contributing to a versatile and inclusive school environment.
