Job Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a qualified teacher for grades 3–9 with certification in Craft, specializing in wood and metal.

You will be part of a team of teachers where you will jointly plan and take responsibility for the students' education and development, as well as make decisions regarding potential needs for subject integration or project studies in your classes. The focus is on creating the best possible conditions for every student in a safe and trust-based environment. You will teach students in grades 3–9 of the compulsory school, educating and supporting them in their social and academic development. Through your leadership, you will provide support while simultaneously challenging students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others.

At Bäckagårdsskolan, you will be an important part of the school's development work, which for the coming school year focuses on reading development and the development of the school's pedagogical model. You will also serve as a mentor for a grade level in upper secondary school.

Qualifications

You are a licensed teacher with certification to teach grades 3–9 in the subject of Craft. Previous experience as a teacher is an asset. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work.

Furthermore, you possess strong didactic and pedagogical skills and can lead and organize your work to create a conducive study atmosphere and a good learning environment for our students throughout the school day. Based on evidence-based research, you develop your work and work efficiently with relevant digital tools. Naturally, you have a professional approach and strive for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and your colleagues at the school.

Bäckagårdsskolan is a school for grades F–9 with a total of approximately 560 students and 75 employees. The school is located in eastern Malmö, next to the green areas of Gyllins trädgård and Husie mosse. The surrounding nature and the school's facilities offer a creative and healthy learning environment.
