Lund Waldorf School is seeking an engaged and creative music teacher for grades 4 to 9 who wants to contribute to the students' musical and personal development in a vibrant and holistic school environment.
As a music teacher with us, you will have a central role in the school's artistic and social life. You create teaching where music becomes a living language to develop students' listening, collaboration, creativity, and expression.
The position also involves being connected to a class as a co-class teacher, meaning that you will follow the students' development together with the class teacher and be an important adult in the students' daily lives.
We work based on the holistic view of Waldorf pedagogy, where teaching engages thought, feeling, and will. Music education is rooted in practical and experiential learning through singing, rhythm, movement, and collective music-making, gradually developing into a deeper musical understanding.
About Lund Waldorf School
The school is located close to nature in Hardeberga outside Lund and operates as a non-profit foundation driven by ideals.
We have about 165 students in grades F to 9 and around forty staff members. Waldorf pedagogy underpins our entire operation and creates a school environment where creativity, responsibility, and long-term relationship building are central elements.
With us, teachers have space for pedagogical freedom, subject deepening, and close collaboration with colleagues.
About music education
The music subject plays a central role in the school's pedagogical whole and permeates both teaching and communal contexts.
The teaching is based on active participation where students get to:
- Develop their musicianship through singing, choir, and ensemble playing.
- Practice rhythm, ear training, listening, and collaboration.
- Work with acoustic instruments and various musical expressions.
- Encounter music as part of culture, history, and community.
Music is integrated into the school's traditions and helps create meaning, context, and participation.
Job Responsibilities
As a music teacher in grades 4 to 9, you will:
- Teach music according to Lgr22 and A Path to Freedom.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the teaching.
- Lead students in singing, choir, rhythm, and ensemble playing.
- Be a co-class teacher and contribute to the class's development.
- Create a safe, structured, and inspiring learning environment.
- Stimulate students' creativity, expression, and collaboration skills.
- Contribute to the school's concerts, performances, and traditions.
- Collaborate with colleagues, student health services, and guardians.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who meets the school's qualification requirements:
- Waldorf teacher training or ongoing education
- State teacher education.
- Subject and didactic competence through education, work experience, and courses.
- Interest in further education in Waldorf pedagogy.

Employment Conditions
Extent: 70%
Start date: by agreement
Salary according to collective agreement and the school's internal salary scale.
