What do we offer you?
You now have the opportunity to become one of us at Jacobsskolan.
We work in newly renovated premises and provide education in seven of the upper secondary school's vocational programs as well as introductory programs. We are now offering a position as a teacher in the Child and Leisure Program.
At Jacobsskolan, we work based on trust with the student and their learning in focus. You will be part of a work team consisting of teachers in common subjects and vocational subjects, working together for the students' achievement of goals. You will also collaborate with other vocational teachers in the program team to develop the teaching in your program.
In addition to the teaching role, you will be a mentor for students in the Child and Leisure Program. In the role of mentor, you will follow the student's knowledge development and study situation.
Here you have the opportunity to be part of developing the school's operations through our systematic quality work. Together with your work team, you will work on the school's prioritized areas in the curriculum.
Who are you?
We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach in the Child and Leisure Program, or alternatively have another educational background that the employer assesses as equivalent. Experience in teaching, preferably within upper secondary vocational programs, is meritorious. Qualification in or experience teaching the subjects of Security and Sociology is considered an advantage.
You are relationship-building and work from an inclusive approach with a focus on accessible learning environments that are adapted to our students' needs and conditions. You are good at collaborating and are expected to actively participate in the program team, work team, and have close cooperation with the school's other professionals such as student health. You believe in the student's ability, and the starting point for your meetings with students is to find the experiences and knowledge that are the student's assets. You enjoy working in multicultural environments and are inspired by new knowledge and experiences. We expect you to have good IT skills.
As you will be part of a work team, we consider it a given that you see your colleagues as an asset and that you view collaboration as a natural part of your work. In the role of teacher, you take responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching in accordance with the school's governing documents.
We use SchoolSoft as a tool for documentation and for parent contacts. In daily operations, we use Office 365 internally within the child and education administration and Google Classroom in teaching. We therefore expect you to have good IT skills.

The Child and Education Administration is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, upper secondary schools, adapted schools, and cultural schools. Jacobsskolan offers the following programs: Child and Leisure Program, Construction and Civil Engineering Program, Electrical and Energy Program, Vehicle and Transport Program, Industrial Technology Program, Restaurant and Food Program, Health and Care Program, as well as all introductory programs. The school has a good collaboration with working life through constructive program councils. We are also engaged in Teknikcollege, Motor Industry College, and Health and Care College.
