Karinslund School – The Small School with Big Opportunities
Karinslund School is a school with approximately 140 students in grades preschool through 6. We are proud to announce that our school is growing. Therefore, we are now looking for more colleagues who, like us, put students at the center. At Karinslund School, you will find large, bright classrooms, each with its own group room.
We have bright and spacious facilities, developed subject-specific classrooms, and a fantastic school cafeteria. As if that were not enough, you will find a large schoolyard with an adjacent forest. We believe that safe children are learning children; therefore, we actively work with our values throughout the school day.
We are now looking for 2 class teachers who want to create a multi-teacher team together for our upcoming Grade 4.
Job Responsibilities
As a mentor, together with a colleague, you will be responsible for IUP conversations, goal achievement follow-ups, attendance monitoring, and collaboration with parents. In teaching, you will work together with your colleague and drive student learning in theoretical subjects (Social Studies, Science, Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, English, and Technology).
You and your colleague, along with student support staff, will follow the students during transitions throughout the school day. You will also have a pedagogical lunch in our school cafeteria and supervise recess during the week. During our conferences, we train in practical teaching skills and subject deepening in mathematics. We also hold regular team meetings and student health follow-ups for the grade level throughout the term. The team is characterized by collaboration, engagement, and a focus on the student's best interests.
This is a perfect assignment for those who would like to try working with multi-teacher teams. Perhaps you have a colleague you would like to share a class with? Take the chance and apply together!
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has/is:
- Teaching license for grades 1–7 or 3–6 in subjects MA/SV/SVA/ENG/TK/NO/SO.
- Experience working in a school environment with students in grades 3–6.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
- Accustomed to using IT as a support in work/teaching in the classroom.

We also consider it an asset if you have/are:
- Experience working with multilingual students.
- Experience working with assistive technology as a tool in teaching.
- Education in NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and/or reading and writing development.
As a person, you are positive and engaged, with a genuine interest in students' development and well-being. You are goal-oriented and work in a structured way to create safety, clarity, and meaningful contexts. Collaboration is a natural part of your working method, and you actively contribute to a good collegial climate.
To thrive with us, it is important that you, just like us, have a sense of humor and see the meeting with the student as the most important meeting of the workday. You build relationships with warmth and professionalism and meet every student with curiosity, respect, and engagement.
