International English School (IES)

IES Eskilstuna is one of the largest schools in Sweden with 1,185 students enrolled in grades F-9 and approximately 125 staff members.

We are looking for an engaged leisure teacher!

Do you want to help create a meaningful, safe, and inspiring leisure activity where students can grow both socially and creatively?

At IES Eskilstuna, we see our leisure center as a bilingual pedagogical hub that works closely with the school's other departments. We value the professional expertise of leisure teachers through clear mandates and scheduled planning time.

We are now looking for an engaged and creative leisure teacher who wants to contribute to an operation where students' curiosity, participation, and development are at the center.

About the role

As a leisure teacher, you are an important part of the students' entire school day. You plan, implement, and develop activities that stimulate students' learning, collaboration, and creativity.

Together with your colleagues, you create a safe and inclusive environment where students have the opportunity to explore their interests and develop their social skills.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• planning and leading educational activities in the leisure center
• creating a safe and stimulating learning environment
• contributing to the development of the operation through planning, follow-up, and evaluation
• supporting students' social and personal development
• collaborating closely with the school's teachers and other staff

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is a certified leisure teacher or leisure educator and who is passionate about working with children's and young people's development.

You are a person who:

• is secure, clear, and inspiring in your leadership
• builds strong and positive relationships with students and colleagues
• is creative and sees opportunities in students' ideas
• has good collaboration skills and thrives in a team
• wants to contribute to developing and improving the operation
