The municipality's adapted primary school is located by the shores of Lake Mälaren at Tosteröskolan and Thomasskolan on Campus in Strängnäs. The teaching follows the curriculum of the adapted primary school and we utilize modern technology. A total of about sixty people (educators, student assistants, special educators, counselors, and administrative staff) work in the organization. In the adapted primary school, we all work to develop each student based on their own conditions.

We are now looking for a class teacher with great commitment to Thomasskolan adapted primary school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a class teacher for grades 7-9 at Thomasskolan. You will plan, implement, and develop the educational work both individually and together with your colleagues. Contacts with guardians, mentoring responsibilities, and regular teacher duties are included.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is/has:

• licensed with a focus on Math/Science, at least qualified for grade 6.
• experience working with children with intellectual disabilities,
• experience or education in the field of neuropsychiatric disabilities,
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing.

It is also an advantage if you are a licensed special educator with a focus on intellectual disabilities or a special educator in mathematics.

You can interpret social interactions among students, be a positive adult role model, and create trust. Your approach is that children do right if they can.

For work with children and youth, a police record extract must be presented before employment.
