Forskaren and Björktorp are expanding and investing further to meet our students in the best way, so they can achieve good knowledge and become their best selves. We are now looking for a substitute teacher from April to December 2026.

Björktorp is a school unit with nearly 600 students in grades F-6. Grades F-3 are housed in our new school building Forskaren 1, and our older students are taught in the newly renovated and historic school building Forskaren 2 (formerly Nyforsskolan). We are gathered around a newly built schoolyard. We are centrally located in Eskilstuna, close to green areas, the train station, and the city center.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a primary school teacher for grades F-3. From grades F-3, we have 4-5 parallel classes where the class teacher is responsible for teaching in the class. With our youngest students, we work purposefully to make early follow-ups on, among other things, reading comprehension. We are careful to mix play and theory in the classroom.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree qualified to teach grades F-3. If you have experience of practical work based on the current curriculum (Lgr22) and relevant experience in teaching in schools, it is an advantage. You have excellent skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Using IT in your teaching is something you feel comfortable with.

You can adapt your leadership in the classroom to the situation and plan independently while following up on your work. However, we work closely together in the team and plan and support each other. As a colleague, you are engaged, enjoy collaborating, and listen to different needs. You have an easy time building relationships and communicating with both adults and children. You are a secure person, a skilled leader, and good at creating structure in your work.
