Peterslund School is a F-6 school with an adapted F-9 program. The school has an integrated after-school program and a newly started outdoor after-school program. It is located in a distinct residential area on the outskirts of Oxelösund. Approximately 400 students attend the school. The school is surrounded by a large playground with asphalt areas, sports fields, and a multipurpose area, as well as proximity to forest areas. The school is built on one level and has 14 classrooms with associated study halls and shared facilities such as craft rooms, an open library in a common area, and a gym. The after-school program is integrated into the school premises, and the various departments are located adjacent to the classrooms.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a licensed special education teacher. Working with us means being part of a workplace with engaged and experienced colleagues where we work together to create conditions for each student to develop as far as possible. As an employee with us, we offer you ongoing guidance from colleagues and a cross-functional special educator.

We are looking for an engaged special education teacher who wants to help us drive the remedial, preventive, and promoting student health work at the school. In your role, you will work as a teacher in an adapted primary school.

Your responsibilities include supporting students, educators, and resource persons in making education accessible for all students through teaching, practical guidance, and documentation.

You express yourself well in both speech and writing to students, guardians, colleagues, and external partners. You are well acquainted with the curriculum, the Education Act, and relevant research.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Documented good knowledge/experience of working with children with functional variations in adapted schools/primary schools
• Knowledge/experience in intellectual disabilities and autism
• Experience working with students in need of special support
• Knowledge in AST and NPF
• Good knowledge of current governing documents
• Experience and interest in working with digital learning tools
