Peterslund School is a primary school (F-6) with an adapted school for grades F-9. Peterslund School has an integrated after-school program and a newly started outdoor after-school program. The school is located in a distinct residential area on the outskirts of Oxelösund. Approximately 400 students attend the school. The school is surrounded by a large playground with asphalt areas, sports fields, and a multi-purpose area, as well as proximity to forest areas. The school is built on one level and has 14 classrooms with associated study halls and shared facilities such as craft rooms, an open library in a common area, and a gym. The after-school program is integrated into the school premises, and the various departments are located adjacent to the classrooms.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

For the upcoming school year 2026/2027, we are now looking for a teacher for a part-time position of 80% as a Home and Consumer Studies/Art teacher.

As a teacher, you will conduct creative teaching and find strategies to reach each student. Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and developing the educational work based on the school's governing documents and the needs and interests of the students, both individually and together with the team you belong to.

You will actively participate in the school's development work and collaborate with other school staff to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You are a certified teacher in primary school with the authority to teach Home and Consumer Studies and Art.
• You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have the ability to individualize teaching based on students' needs. You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create structure, context, and good relationships.
• You are solution-focused and have a positive attitude towards school development, understanding the importance of teaching being creative and stimulating while being based on research and proven methods.
• You share our view that we as a school exist for the student and that this means we must adapt to each individual student's conditions, interests, and needs. You see the positive in each individual and are convinced that everyone has the opportunity to learn, and that your approach as a teacher is one of the most important factors in students' success.

Great emphasis will be placed on the applicant's personal qualities, work initiative, responsibility, and ability to collaborate.
