Karinslundsskolan is a small school with a big heart. We are a F-6 school with 120 students and 17 staff members. This allows all staff to have close relationships with the students. We work on the premise that our students' safety and joy are crucial for their knowledge development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

On a typical day, in the role of special education teacher with a particular competence in NPF, you will have the following tasks:

• building and developing the school's special education group.
• responsibility for working with students in need of special support, focusing on the special education group.
• leading, documenting, and evaluating student health processes at the individual and group level. This involves significant collaboration with classroom teachers, after-school staff, student health services, and guardians.

The role is a reinforcement at our school. Therefore, there are great opportunities to influence and shape the work, all with a focus on the common goals of the organization - to develop all students' learning and health. In this role, you will be part of the school's student health team, which consists of special education teachers, social educators, counselors, school nurses, and the principal. The student health work has developed over the past few years, and we now have a model with regular follow-up at both group and individual levels. In these meetings, you will contribute in your role as a special education teacher with a focus on NPF, providing an important perspective.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• teaching certification with a focus on core subjects for grades 1-6.
• special education teacher degree or ongoing special education training.
• documented NPF training.
• previous experience teaching grades 4-6.
• experience teaching students in need of special support.
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• good digital competence with particular experience in assistive technology in teaching.

We also consider it an advantage if you have:

• experience working in a special education group.
• experience working within a school's student health team.
• training in language development.
• documented experience in student health work focusing on preventive and promotional measures.
• a B driver's license.
