JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Paulinska School, teaching in Swedish as a second language is conducted parallel to Swedish instruction. This means that you teach in small groups while other students have Swedish. This approach creates good opportunities for individual adaptation, close student contact, and close collaboration with Swedish teachers.

You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in SVA and collaborate with colleagues regarding students' language development in all subjects. Mentorship is not included in the position. The majority of teaching is aimed at grades 4-6.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is/has:

• Certified teacher with qualifications in Swedish as a second language.
• Good knowledge of language and knowledge development methods.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Good ability to use IT/digital tools as support in work/teaching.

It is an advantage if you have experience teaching grades 4-9.

Your personal qualities are important to us, and we will place great emphasis on them. As a person, you are structured, responsible, clear, and confident in your leadership. You create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You are aware of your own impact on students' learning, and based on students' results, research, and proven experience, you follow up on the quality of teaching, reflect, and evaluate in order to develop the teaching.
