We are now looking for an employee for a combined position of study guidance and mother tongue teacher for teaching students in grades 1-9 in Polish.

We place great importance on your ability to collaborate with all colleagues at the school. Teachers and study guides work closely together in the daily schoolwork. It is important that you contribute your experience, knowledge, and creative ability in various ways for the development of students and the organization.

COMPETENCE

You are/have:

• licensed teacher with qualifications to teach Polish for grades 1-9
• good knowledge of the curriculum
• good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• previous teaching experience is an advantage

As a person, you are proactive and self-driven. It is also important that you are structured and relationship-building. To succeed in the role, you also need to have good collaboration skills and be quality-conscious.

The mother tongue teaching takes place after school hours and in mixed-age groups at several schools in the municipality, so it is helpful if you have a driver's license and access to your own car. The role includes teaching the mother tongue and educating students about the culture and traditions of the countries where the language is spoken.

Study guidance takes place during school hours.

ASSIGNMENT

As a study guide, you support the student by helping them with preparatory work and understanding before lessons, participating during lessons, and conducting follow-up work after lessons together with the student. Your task is to help the student understand and engage in the teaching to be able to absorb knowledge. You collaborate with subject teachers to provide the student with the best possible conditions.

For the work, it is important that you are open and have a strong commitment to guiding and collaborating with our students. You have a desire to develop together with other colleagues at the school and are interested in the life situation, learning, and development of children and young people. You also have a very good ability to build relationships with others, both with adults and children.
