About us

Hammargärdet and Gillberga schools are two small rural schools in the same principal area. Both schools are F-6 schools with around 100 students and 20 staff members. Gillberga school is located 15 km from Eskilstuna city center and Hammargärdet about 30 km outside. There are good bus connections to both schools. Both Hammargärdet and Gillberga schools are surrounded by a unique environment with proximity to fantastic nature, which contributes to closeness and safety for the students.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are expanding and hiring another special teacher. In this position, you will work in the principal area of Hammargärdet/Gillberga, which means you will work at both schools. As a special teacher, you support students both individually and in groups. You teach individually or in the classroom and ensure that we offer teaching that is accessible to all, through special educational efforts. The role also includes mapping students' needs, conducting educational investigations, and designing and following up on action programs. You are part of our student health team and have close collaboration with our other special teacher.

Our teachers collaborate closely with each other and continuously exchange knowledge and experiences. Our teaching teams are small, stable, and well-functioning with competent and engaged colleagues. We actively work to strengthen the overall picture of our students, and we see that good collaboration with guardians has a significant impact on students' knowledge development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and training as a special teacher or special educator. You may also have ongoing education. We see that you have experience in teaching, preferably based on the current curriculum LGR22. It is highly meritorious if you have experience working as a special teacher.

Your personal qualities are also important to us. We are looking for someone who is unpretentious, engaged, and has good communication skills. You are confident in yourself and have an easy time building trust with both students and guardians. We also believe that you are a team player who is flexible, cooperative, and wants to contribute to the school's continued development.
