Björktorpsskolan consists of two school buildings and has a large lovely schoolyard between them. The school has just over 550 students from preschool class up to grade 6.

Our keywords are collaboration and cooperation. Here, you seldom work alone. We are centrally located in Eskilstuna, close to green areas, the train station, and the city center. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to teach grades 3-6 in visual arts.

When you open the door to the school, you are greeted by teachers who co-plan, discuss, and challenge each other through structured development work and also spontaneously in everyday life. Our teachers are experienced in working with group processes in constant change. It is important that you are open to changes occurring in your teaching groups.

As a teacher, you are an important part of the student's school journey. We are secure with each other in the workgroup and dare to challenge each other both socially and pedagogically. The student health team is an obvious part of everyday life and is always close by. Our great heart for students and colleagues ensures that we create a safe and inclusive school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a teaching degree and teaching certification with authorization to teach grades 3-6, or alternatively, you have ongoing education and will complete it shortly. We prefer that you have experience of practical work based on the applicable curriculum. It is an advantage if you have current experience of teaching in schools. For the role, it is important that you have very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form and feel comfortable using IT as part of your teaching.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You are a leader who can adapt your leadership style to the situation in the classroom and can plan and follow up on your work. Communicating with both adults and children feels natural to you. We believe that you want to develop in your role as a teacher and contribute to the continued development of the school. You are an engaged employee with good collaboration skills who can build trust and listen to different needs.
