About British Junior

We are a dynamic school from preschool to grade 9 with approximately 900 students. We constantly renew and develop our pedagogical methods, always focusing on the individual student's knowledge and development. British Junior is primarily a knowledge school, but our educators also teach children the full meaning of empathy, social interaction, understanding of other cultures, and discipline. We teach students that respect, understanding, acceptance, and collaboration are the keys to long-term success. Our after-school program, Afternoon School, is for students from preschool up to grade 4, as well as Open activities for grades 5 and 6. Afternoon School has a distinct educational purpose where we maintain a continuous thread throughout the day with learning, play, and rest.

Your Responsibilities

Your role is to work with colleagues to provide an environment that allows students to develop as individuals and as a group, where key concepts such as safety, collaboration, and knowledge are central. During the school day, you work closely with teachers, managing recess activities, safety issues, and supporting students in their learning in various ways. As a teacher in the after-school program, you belong to a team responsible for planning, reflection, and analysis of the after-school activities.

About You

You are an educated teacher in after-school programs/after-school pedagogue with experience in educational activities. You are responsible and structured, with a good ability to plan and prioritize your work effectively. Your ability to collaborate is very good, and you easily build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You handle conflicts in a sensitive and constructive manner. Furthermore, you have a good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and are accustomed to working with IT tools. You enjoy sharing your experiences and knowledge while being open to new working methods. It is an advantage if you have a strong interest in movement, as it is a natural part of our entire school day!
