About Us

Öknaskolan is a nature management high school with 250 students, of which 160 live in the school's boarding school. The school offers nature management education in agriculture, gardening, horse management, animal care, natural sciences, nature tourism, adapted upper secondary school, and vocational introduction. Öknaskolan is part of Region Sörmland.

Your Responsibilities

The position involves both practical and theoretical teaching in gardening subjects with a focus on gardening machinery and technical equipment for construction work.

Other subjects within the nature management program may also be relevant based on the applicant's qualifications. We offer a stimulating work environment where student focus is a given. You will plan and collaborate with the gardening team, which consists of vocational teachers and instructors, as well as other teachers at the school who teach machinery and technical equipment.

As a teacher at Öknaskolan, you will be actively involved in systematic quality work, value foundation work, and pedagogical development. The position includes mentorship.

Your Qualifications

Your knowledge and experience in construction and working with excavators are of utmost importance to us, and we prefer that you have a vocational teacher's degree. You have good collaboration skills and are a clear leader in the classroom. You adapt to different situations and create engagement and participation. Together with other staff, you take responsibility for the entire school's operations. You have the ability to see opportunities for integration between both subject areas and theory and practice.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

A driving license (B) is required.

Employment Type

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement. We apply a probationary period.
