Mathematics and Science Teachers – Gymnasium Skövde

In this role, you will become part of the Sector for Children and Education. Here, the development of children and young people is our priority. About Us: Gymnasium Skövde is the collective name for the municipality's two upper secondary schools, Kavelbro and Västerhöjd. Together, the schools offer 16 national upper secondary programs, introductory programs with various specializations, and adapted upper secondary education with three national programs and individual programs. Gymnasium Skövde currently has approximately 2,300 students and 300 employees.

We are seeking three qualified teachers in mathematics and science to teach on our vocational preparatory programs. Two of the positions are permanent, and one is a temporary position until June 27, 2016. A probationary period may apply.

As a teacher with us, you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in current subjects while sharing your expertise with our students. You are a significant and important part of the students' development, as well as a key contributor to the continued development of Gymnasium Skövde. The role of a mathematics and science teacher with us also includes mentoring students.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to young people and a passion for working with student learning. You must be a qualified upper secondary teacher, and experience in similar work is preferred.

You are open to new working methods and have a positive view of people. You are also responsible, results-oriented, and eager to take on new challenges. Our operations are built on continuous collaboration and development, which means it is important that you also have good collaboration skills with students, teachers, parents, and other partners both within and outside our organization.

Students are at the center, and it is important that you personally fit into the operation, which is why we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

OTHER INFORMATION

To begin working in preschool, school, after-school care, or other pedagogical activities, you must provide an extract from the criminal register. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the National Police Board at www.polisen.se (http://www.polisen.se).

Anyone who has not provided an extract from the criminal register cannot be employed, hired, or admitted to the activity according to current legal requirements.
