Mölndal's Culture School is a cutting-edge creative operation that engages approximately 1800 children in music, dance, theater, visual arts, and film. We have a well-developed choir and orchestra program and a strong collaboration with schools and preschools. We want to be a meeting place where children's and young people's cultural expressions can develop, be seen, and take place in the city's cultural life. Therefore, the performing arts are an obvious part of the students' education. Our staff consists of about 60 teachers plus management and administrative personnel.

We work strategically with school development through student participation and inquiry-based teaching. Here, we challenge our approaches and working methods to continuously develop meaningful activities. The teachers at the Culture School work in various groups, teams, and contexts, both subject-wise, interdisciplinary, and in different collaborations with operations outside the Culture School.

The management of the Culture School is the hub of the city's Cultural Guarantee, which is an administrative collaboration where all children aged 3-16 receive professional cultural experiences and activities with their own creation every year.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching double bass, electric bass, orchestra, and ensemble for ages 9-19. You will work with group and individual instruction at all levels. You will lead the orchestra and ensemble and be part of our string working group.

The position is a part-time position at 75%.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a music teacher education with double bass as the main instrument or someone with an artistic musician education at the university level with pedagogical extension.

Teaching experience is desired.
