The Children and Youth Administration is responsible for preschool, after-school care, primary school, and adapted primary school grades F-9. In total, we are about 1100 people working to provide a good service for our children and students today and prepare them for the future.
Adapted Primary School Nolhaga is a small school unit with about 10 staff and just under 20 students. The school's premises are integrated into Nolhagaskolan primary school grades 7-9, which creates good conditions for collaboration and inclusion. The school is located in beautiful surroundings close to lovely parks, playgrounds, and sports facilities. Proximity to the city center is also an asset for the school's operations. We organize ourselves based on whether students study subjects or subject areas, and we are looking for someone who is open to teaching both subjects and subject areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a special teacher, you will lead instruction and pedagogical work.
You will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on the students' individual development levels and needs. Adapt content, methods, and materials to promote learning and participation.
Work with clarifying pedagogy, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), and structured teaching.
Support students' knowledge development as well as social and communicative skills.
Individual adaptation and documentation.
Establish, follow up, and evaluate individual development plans (IUP) and, if necessary, action programs.
Student focus and learning environment: The work involves creating a safe and accessible school environment through pedagogical mapping, adaptations, and careful documentation according to guidelines.
Collaboration and supervision: A central part is the close cooperation with the student health team, colleagues, and guardians, where guidance in special educational issues and coordination of efforts is the focus.
Quality and development work: The assignment includes driving the school's pedagogical development forward through systematic quality work.
QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory requirements:
- Certified teacher with a special education degree focusing on intellectual disabilities.
- Experience working in adapted primary school or with students in need of extensive support.
- Good knowledge of the school's governing documents, especially the Curriculum for Adapted Primary School (Lgr22).
- Ability to plan and implement individualized teaching.
- Experience working with clarifying pedagogy and structured teaching.
- Good digital competence and experience using digital learning tools.
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience teaching both subjects and subject areas.
- Experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
- Knowledge of low-arousal approaches.
- Experience working in student health teams (EHT).
- Experience with pedagogical mapping and working with action programs.
- Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF).
- Experience supervising teaching assistants or colleagues.
You are secure, stable, and have a professional approach. You are flexible and able to adapt teaching based on students' daily conditions and needs.
You have good collaboration skills and build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
You are structured and clear in your working methods. You have a strong commitment to students' development and learning.
