Your Mission

A teacher in after-school care has a two-part mission. The responsibility for the after-school care is the part you are responsible for structuring, planning, leading, and evaluating. You will base your work on governing documents and curriculum for the teaching in after-school care. Your planning for the students also serves as instructions for teaching assistants, so you need to have good teaching skills and be able to lead other adults. You can oversee, coordinate, and staff the daily after-school activities. During school breaks, the after-school care has full-day activities that need to be planned and structured to provide students with a meaningful, understandable, and manageable stay based on each individual's needs. The second part of the mission is shared. This may involve working in class closely with a mentor and teaching assistants as pedagogical competence and support. This allows you to gain an understanding of the operation as a whole and get to know students and colleagues in various contexts and assignments. It may also be that you independently teach a subject for which you are qualified during the school day. You will be part of a team primarily consisting of teachers, special educators, and teaching assistants. Collaboration around the students is a cornerstone of the operation. As a teacher in after-school care, you are expected to participate in team meetings and other meetings, as well as engage in our professional development initiatives. You will receive ongoing guidance in your role as a teacher/special educator. The work in after-school care involves a rolling schedule where you will be responsible for both opening and closing the after-school activities.

Requirements for the Position

We are looking for someone who is a qualified teacher with a focus on after-school care and has experience working with children in adapted primary school. It is also advantageous if you have experience working with children within, for example, the autism spectrum, ADHD, and language disorders. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents and base your planning on them. You develop learning environments that match the students' needs, have a good knowledge of functional variations, and how to best compensate for these. You use clarifying pedagogy through TAKK, visual support, and digital learning tools as obvious elements in teaching. You work with a low-arousal approach and are a good relationship builder. Your view of students is characterized by a belief that all students can and should develop their full potential. You demonstrate and have excellent collaboration skills with all colleagues. You can lead other adults and see learning as a whole - where both after-school care and school contribute to learning. You should skillfully lead students and capture their interests. You show with a big heart that you see each student. The individual conditions of the students place high demands on your flexibility and creativity, making it an exciting and rewarding job. At the same time, structure, predictability, and systematics are of utmost importance for the students' well-being and development. Warm welcome to your application!

To obtain employment, a certificate from the police's criminal record must be presented.
