Gymnasium Skövde is the collective name for the municipality's two high schools, Kavelbro and Västerhöjd. Together, the schools offer 16 national high school programs, introductory programs with various orientations, and adapted high school with four national programs and an individual program.

Gymnasium Skövde currently has about 2,300 students and 300 employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We need to appoint a teacher for the Construction and Civil Engineering program with a focus on Earthworks and Construction. In your role as our new employee, you will be involved and share the responsibility for theoretical and practical teaching in the construction orientation within all relevant vocational courses. The majority of the teaching with students will be focused on developing the future machine operators.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a teacher who has experience as a machine operator in earthworks and construction and has other education and experience that is deemed equivalent. A vocational certificate in the industry is desirable for excavators, wheel loaders, and construction competence.

As our future colleague, we are looking for someone who is flexible and has an easy time collaborating with both young people and their relatives as well as colleagues. We want you to enjoy working both independently and in teams. Much of the teaching work is done together with colleagues, so the person we are looking for should enjoy collaborating and sharing their professional experiences.

Experience in the contracting industry is a requirement.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

To start working in preschool, school, after-school care, and other educational activities, you are required to show an extract from the criminal record. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the National Police Board www.polisen.se (www.polisen.se).
