Your Workplace
Welcome to Härryda, a municipality that dares! Here, we aim to have Sweden's best schools and business climate, care of the highest quality, and attractive community development. Together, we are 3,000 employees making the encounter with Härryda Municipality simple. With courage, innovation, and action, we inspire each other and deliver service with competence and quality. Härryda Municipality has ranked at the top of Dagens Samhälles annual ranking of 'Super Municipality of the Year' for the last four years. We are looking for someone who is engaged, flexible, open to different perspectives, and wants to create solutions that last for future generations. You will find us between Gothenburg and Borås, with Landvetter Airport right in the middle of the municipality. Together we achieve more! We offer a generous wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK.
In August 2025, Härryda Municipality launched a resource school for students with autism and/or language disorders. Mosslyckeskolan is a school offering education in a small setting. Students come from all over the municipality, and for the academic year 26/27, we will have 25 students in grades 4–9.
The facilities have great potential, are newly renovated, and are beautifully located in Landvetter right next to Önnerödsskolan. The schoolyard has been restored and is divided into two areas: one inviting play and activity, and another where students can sit, play games, or socialize. The school consists of a large building with several entrances and various rooms that will be adapted to the needs of our operations. We aim for high competence and ensure that all professions the school needs are available. We have sports facilities at Pinntorpshallen, a modern arena in the immediate vicinity. We will build the school and many parts of the organization together. You will have access to regular supervision from a speech therapist, psychologist, and special education teacher. Welcome to Härryda Municipality and the resource school!
Your Assignment
As a teacher with us, you meet the students every morning and conduct a check-in to gauge how they are feeling and how they perceive their mood for the day. You adapt the day based on the level the students signal they can handle.
You work continuously with visual support and clarifying pedagogy to strengthen students' communication and ability to demonstrate their knowledge.
Your role includes planning, conducting, and evaluating teaching together with colleagues. You are responsible for leading teaching in your subjects, both in class, in small groups, and individually when needed. Teaching always starts from current governing documents and syllabi. Your planning must also serve as clear instructions for any student assistants, requiring both good teaching skills and the ability to collaborate with other adults.
Collaboration regarding the students is a central part of the operations. You are therefore expected to actively participate in team meetings, professional development, and other forums. As support in your work, you have close access to special education teachers, special needs teachers, and speech therapists, as well as ongoing supervision in your role.
An important part of the assignment is also to maintain a good dialogue with guardians and external actors to ensure the students' development and well-being.
Requirements for the Position
We are looking for a certified primary school teacher with subject competence for grades 4–9 with broad eligibility. You have several years of experience with the target group where you have achieved positive results through your approach and knowledge.
You have a strong commitment and experience working with children and young people with NPF diagnoses (autism, ADHD, and language disorders). You work with low-arousal and flexible methods, using clarifying pedagogy, AAC, visual support, and digital and compensatory tools as natural elements in teaching.
We are looking for a person who:
- Finds it easy to adapt their working methods to students' different prerequisites and needs.
- Is flexible and solution-focused.
- Can create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
- Is motivated, engaged, and shows enthusiasm in their work.
To obtain employment, an extract from the Police Criminal Register must be presented.
