Welcome to Ung extra, a valuable part-time job for young people.

Are you between 16 and 19 years old, live on Hisingen, and want to gain valuable work experience? Then Ung extra is for you. With us, you have the opportunity to work approximately 16 hours per month during a term. Work shifts are usually scheduled for weekends or weekday evenings.

What do we offer you?

As an Ung extra employee, you get the chance to try out various tasks within municipal operations and develop within areas such as social work, care and welfare, leisure activities, property management, entrepreneurship, and youth leadership. We believe in giving young people a good start in working life and the opportunity to try out several exciting tasks!

Recruitment Process

During May, you will be notified if you have progressed in the recruitment process. Candidates who move forward will receive an email invitation to a mandatory information meeting in May/June. During the meeting, we will go through all relevant information regarding a potential employment.

Qualifications

Who can apply?

• You must be between 16 and 19 years old and registered as a resident on Hisingen.
• You must be able to work up to 16 hours per month, often in the evenings on weekdays or on weekends.

About Us

The Social Administration Hisingen is part of the social services in the City of Gothenburg. We are one of four social administrations. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for the residents of Hisingen.

We offer support within individual and family care, social emergency services, assistance with substance abuse, and integration issues. We also work with leisure activities and preventive work regarding, for example, public health work, urban planning, local safety work, and integration issues.
