About the Job
Do you want to make a difference for people with disabilities and support them in their daily lives? We are now looking for engaged hourly and summer casual staff for Skärviken and Skärudden BmSS, located on the beautiful island of Styrsö in the southern archipelago of Gothenburg!
To reach the facilities on Styrsö, you will need to take a ferry from Saltholmen.
As an hourly or summer casual staff member with us, you will become an important part of our tenants' daily lives. You will assist with both practical and pedagogical tasks, ranging from personal care to leisure activities and social support. We work with individually adapted support for people with intellectual disabilities and autism.
Summer Casual Position
We prefer that you can work full-time according to a schedule during weeks 25–33. In your application, please specify which weeks you are available. You will need to work as an hourly staff member before your summer position starts to get to know the tenants and the operations.
Hourly Position
As an hourly staff member, you work as needed and set your own availability. Working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, and night shifts depending on the facility.

About You
To apply for this position, you must be at least 18 years old, in accordance with regulations concerning the working environment for minors (AFS 2023:2).
To be able to maintain documentation, you must have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. This requires passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet the qualification requirements for Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test via the test provider Educateit.
Education in care and welfare, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer, or experience working within disability support and/or care and welfare, is an asset.
Experience working with the target group of autism and challenging behavior is an asset. Knowledge of LAB (Low-Affective Approach), AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), clarifying pedagogy, MI (Motivational Interviewing), and experience with social documentation is to your advantage.
