Data Protection Officer for the municipalities in Sjuhärad
Do you want to help strengthen the protection of citizens' privacy in Sjuhärad? The eight municipalities have a joint data protection function with two data protection officers. The purpose of the operation is to ensure a lawful and correct handling of personal integrity. The goal is for citizens and employees within the municipalities to feel secure about how their personal data is handled.
The primary task of the data protection officers is to provide advice and support to the municipal operations on how to best safeguard and protect personal integrity in a legal and correct manner, as well as to monitor compliance through various forms of audits. Additionally, the data protection officers represent all individuals whose personal data is handled within the municipal sphere.

In the role of Data Protection Officer with us, you will be responsible for:
- Being a knowledge support in matters concerning data protection and personal integrity, as well as providing support on substantive issues from the operations included in our collaboration
- Monitoring compliance with data protection in all the municipal operations that have appointed us as data protection officers
- Providing support and advice in impact assessments and risk analyses related to data protection, and if necessary, assisting in any preliminary consultations, as well as serving as a contact point for the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection. The role also includes assisting in investigations of suspected personal data incidents
- Actively participating in and developing the various networks and groups where data protection issues are handled, as well as coordinating work together with appointed representatives from the member municipalities
Qualifications
To fit the role, we see that you:
- have a university degree with a focus on information security or another relevant university education that we assess as equivalent
- have good knowledge of data protection work and information security
- can work independently and autonomously, and have a high level of integrity in carrying out the assignment
You also need to be good at communicating with others and have a strong pedagogical ability to reach those we serve. It is essential that you express yourself well in both speech and writing and have a professional demeanor. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Employment conditions
Permanent employment. Start date and salary by agreement. The main place of work is Borås, but a significant part of the work takes place on-site in the member municipalities. The Borås region offers the possibility of remote work based on internal guidelines. A driver's license is required.
