As an Inventory and Cost Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and good internal control over inventory and product cost processes. You will be responsible for and carry out monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities related to inventory and COGS. You will act as the Finance Key User for the ERP system IFS. In this role, you will work closely with Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

This role involves being responsible for inventory accounting and closing processes, including inventory valuation and reconciliations. You will manage inventory data and product costing, as well as act as the Finance Key User in the ERP system IFS. The work also includes auditing and compliance.

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities related to inventory and COGS.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and that all postings of COGS are made according to applicable principles.
• Monitor that inventory transactions are correct and reliable.
• Support annual and periodic processes for standard cost calculations.
• Act as the Finance Key User in IFS and provide support regarding costing and inventory transactions.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Drive continuous improvements within inventory and cost processes.

We are looking for someone who

• Has at least two years of experience as an accountant with the ability to dig into details.
• Has a good understanding of inventory valuation, COGS (cost of goods sold), and closing work.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably IFS.
• Excellent skills in Excel and experience working with large data sets.
• Experience in inventory accounting, preferably in manufacturing companies.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
