About the Company

We are currently supporting Stigslund School in the recruitment process for two special education teachers for work in grades 7–9. We are looking for you who are a licensed and qualified teacher in either Swedish or SVA/English. You also have further education as a special education teacher with a specialization in language, writing, and reading development, or an ongoing education to become a special education teacher. The position starts at the beginning of the term in August or by agreement.

Your Responsibilities

As a special education teacher in grades 7–9, you have a central role in the school's preventive and health-promoting work. You teach students who need special educational support, both individually and in smaller groups. The assignment also includes conducting investigations regarding students' needs for special support, establishing action plans, performing screenings, and contributing with collegial guidance. You collaborate closely with teachers, school management, and other professionals in student health and are an active part of the school's student health team.

In the Stigslund principal area, there is a particular focus on strengthening students' reading skills. All students are screened using Lexplore, and the results are followed up in work teams according to a set annual schedule. After each screening, targeted reading interventions are carried out where long-term work is conducted to develop reading in all subjects. In this work, you will be an important resource together with teachers, school librarians, and school management.

As a special education teacher within the Stigslund principal area, you will also participate in joint professional meetings for special education staff.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed and qualified teacher either in Swedish or SVA/English and have further education as a special education teacher with a specialization in language, writing, and reading development. We also welcome you who are currently studying to become a special education teacher to submit an application. We see that you are well acquainted with the primary school curriculum and can express yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You also have experience using digital tools as a natural part of teaching.

A good ability to lead, motivate, and create security for students is one of your strengths. Inclusion and helping all students feel a sense of belonging come naturally to you. In meetings with others, you show initiative and build trusting relationships. You have good collaboration skills and are unpretentious. You create good relationships and find it easy to communicate with everyone you meet, whether it concerns students, colleagues, or guardians.

The work is characterized by structure and good planning, and you easily see what needs to be prioritized. With an effective and goal-oriented working method, you use resources in the best way to achieve good results.
