At Hagaströms school, we have about 320 students from preschool class to grade 6. The number of students at Sofiedalskolan is approximately 700 from preschool class to grade 9. The schools are located within the Sofiedal principal area, close to sports centers and outdoor activities, characterized by well-being, engagement, and progressiveness. There are good transport connections with local traffic, both to Gävle and Sandviken.

We are now looking for two new employees at 100% for us at Hagaströms and Sofiedals school starting HT-26! We are looking for two craft teachers, one in wood and metal and one in textiles, who will have shared teaching time at Hagaströms school for grades 3-6 about 60%, and at Sofiedalskolan for grades 7-9 about 40%. JOB DESCRIPTION

Your mission is to lead students in their learning through planned, safe, and stimulating teaching moments. You give students the opportunity to explore materials, techniques, and ideas, and you help them translate their own thoughts into clear products and processes. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to a joyful, varied, and qualitative school day where students' development and well-being are the focus. The work is done in close collaboration with other educators, student health, guardians, and external actors according to applicable goals and guidelines.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• Being responsible for teaching in the subject of craft.
• Being responsible for planning, implementation, assessment, and evaluation of the teaching.
• Supporting and challenging students so that they achieve good study results and adapting teaching according to their different needs and conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are educated and engaged, with good subject knowledge and a desire to make a real difference. You have the ability to create a safe and inspiring learning environment and thrive in a job where both structure and creativity are needed.

• We are looking for you with a teaching license with the authority to teach grades 3-9 in crafts.
• You have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language and have general knowledge and experience of digital tools.
• You are familiar with and have knowledge of the curriculum for compulsory school.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• The ability to build relationships and quickly create safe, trusting relationships that make students feel comfortable and included.
• A collaborative working style, where you contribute positively and solution-focused in collaboration with colleagues, student health, and guardians.
• Good structure and planning ability, which allows you to organize teaching well and work systematically with planning, implementation, and follow-up.
• A clear and inclusive leadership style, where you create a calm study environment, motivate students, and adapt teaching based on their needs.
• The ability to think creatively and see opportunities in each student's ideas.

You as a final candidate must be able to present a criminal record from the police for work within schools or preschools. This should not be attached to your application.
