JOB DESCRIPTION

As a special educator within the Student Health, you work preventively and health-promoting to strengthen students' opportunities to achieve the goals of education. You contribute with special pedagogical competence in the schools' student health work and support the organization in developing learning environments and methods that promote inclusion, participation, and early interventions.

You contribute by:

• Guiding and supporting staff in pedagogical and special pedagogical issues
• Conducting pedagogical investigations and analyzing the need for special support
• Collaborating with principals, deputy principals, student health teams, educators, guardians, and external actors
• Developing the special pedagogical work at the organizational and group level
• Strengthening the use of alternative learning tools and digital support

• Sharing knowledge and developing the special pedagogical perspective together
• Working with an inclusive and solution-focused approach
• Creating an open climate where we support, learn from, and challenge each other
• Contributing to the long-term development of student health in the municipality

QUALIFICATIONS

The work requires a good ability to collaborate and build relationships, while the role requires independence, structure, and a secure approach in complex situations. A responsive and trustworthy working method is important, as well as a commitment to contribute to an inclusive learning environment and to develop the special pedagogical perspective in primary school. An empathetic listening ability and an interest in supporting students' development are significant in the assignment.

For the assignment, the following is required:

• Teaching certification with further education as a special educator. Education as a special educator can be started in parallel with the position, and mentorship is offered if needed.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good knowledge of the school's governing documents
• Good knowledge of students' academic and social development

Meritorious experiences include work as a special educator or similar role, as well as experience in documenting in journal systems. Good knowledge of reading, writing, and mathematics development is also meritorious. A driver's license and access to a car facilitate the work.
