Teacher in Modern Languages - French

International English School Gävle is now looking for a certified teacher in modern languages, specifically French, who wants to make a difference in our students' development and learning.

Qualifications

As a French teacher with us, you will plan and conduct lessons that inspire a love of learning. You will create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to develop according to their abilities. You will work closely with colleagues and actively contribute to the school's pedagogical development.

We are looking for someone who:

• has a Swedish teaching license with authorization to teach modern languages, specifically French
• is confident in your leadership
• creates inspiring lessons and a sense of security in your student groups
• can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English
• is motivated by seeing students develop and succeed
• has a good demeanor and the ability to establish and develop relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• enjoys collaborating and contributing to a positive work environment

About the Role

As a French teacher, you will among other things:

• work towards a stimulating classroom environment for effective teaching and learning
• plan and conduct lessons in French
• uphold the school's positive ethos and values, both inside and outside the classroom
• communicate with guardians about students' development, progress, and achievements
• follow up and document students' knowledge development
• mentor students
