RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you will combine teaching with strategic and outreach development work, with a particular focus on children and young people with disabilities. A central part of the assignment is to map demand and needs both geographically and content-wise based on the wishes of children and young people.

You will actively and proactively work by creating, developing, and strengthening contacts with schools, guardians, and children and young people. Collaboration is an important part of the role and takes place, among other things, with adapted schools, leisure activities, associations, at parent meetings, and during staff meetings at schools.

Your responsibilities include:

• Guiding other educators in methods and approaches and supporting colleagues in contact and communication with students and guardians.
• Contributing to the development and broadening of the offerings aimed at children and young people, for example through vacation activities and term courses.
• Teaching, primarily children and young people in adapted schools.
• Working hours are mainly during the day, but evenings and weekends may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

You will thrive in this role if you enjoy meeting children and young people in a responsive and creative way. You are used to taking your own initiatives, building relationships easily, and collaborating closely with both colleagues and external contacts. Experience in pedagogical work and in meeting children and young people with different needs allows you to quickly find the right working methods. If you also have an artistic background and preferably a specialization in special education, that will be a great asset here.

• Education or experience in an artistic subject, such as music or visual arts.
• Pedagogical education or equivalent documented experience.
• Experience working directly with children and young people with disabilities.
• Desirable: further education in special education or other advanced competence in the field.
