JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher in the general course, you will meet participants who want to increase their knowledge and obtain qualifications for further studies at university or vocational college. Participants study subjects such as Swedish, mathematics, English, natural science, religion, social studies, and history. They also study health promotion, life skills, and creative subjects. We offer a calm environment with small study groups and dedicated teaching colleagues.

As a teacher with us, you will among other things:

• plan and conduct teaching in your subjects both on-site and digitally
• collaborate with participants to design and follow up individual study plans
• contribute to the school's innovative activities and themes
• act as a mentor.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a flexible and committed person who thrives in close collaboration with all professions at the school in a varied everyday life. You want to meet participants both individually and in groups based on where they are and utilize their ability to develop. An important prerequisite for providing participants with keys to learning is their safety and the opportunity to develop and grow as individuals. Therefore, it is important that you have a good ability to build strong relationships with both participants and colleagues. You have the ability to contribute to the school's development and improvement work, and you are confident in your professional role.

As a teacher, you should have:

• strong knowledge in mathematics and natural science
• teaching degree or other educational qualification that we find suitable for the role
• experience in teaching
• good digital competence.

For this position, it is advantageous if you have:

• folk high school teacher training
• experience working at a folk high school
• experience adapting teaching and creating structure for individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities
• experience teaching adults
• driver's license (B)
• knowledge of programming.
